A380 First Flight Charity Auction
Singapore Airlines opened its Singapore Airlines A380 First Flight Charity Auction, starting Aug. 27 for its inaugural flight from Singapore to Sydney, Australia.
Taking off on Thursday, Oct. 25, with the return leg on Friday, Oct. 26. 100 percent of the proceeds from this auction will be donated to charity. You may be able to bid for either flight.
A majority of seats for both legs of the First Flight are being auctioned on eBay, the global online Auction marketplace, over the next two weeks.
Starting bid prices are — economy class: US 3.80; business class — US 38.00, and for Singapore Airlines Suites — US 380.00.
Limited Buy-It-Now packages across all classes will also be put on sale. Purchasing Buy-It-Now packages are the only way to guarantee an immediate confirmation of being on board the first-ever A380 commercial flight.
To bid, you will need an eBay user ID which you can get easily for free here on Auction Stores. Once you sign up for an eBay user ID, you must learn how to bid and how the eBay bid system works.
If you plan to travel with any others, you will need to submit the names and passport details of those who will be travelling with you.
For bids on packages in the premium classes (business and Suites) or bids for over USD1,000 in economy class, pre–qualification will be required.
This ensures IDs are not artificially inflated and that all bidders are genuine.
